I am claiming Universal Credit and need to stay at home to self isolate due to corona virus. Will I get sanctioned?

If you tell the DWP in good time that you are staying at home or that you have been diagnosed with coronavirus, you will not be sanctioned – Make sure the requirements in your claimant commitment are reviewed to ensure they are reasonable.

If you are staying at home as a result of coronavirus you will have your mandatory work search and work availability requirements removed to account for a period of sickness.
