OPFS submission to the Scottish Government Disability Assistance Consultation

Last updated: 14/04/2021

‘Disability Assistance’ benefits are the next step in creating a new social security system in Scotland. The new benefits will replace those presently delivered by the DWP. This includes: Disability Living Allowance;  Child Disability Living Allowance (Child DLA); Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance.

OPFS submitted a response to the Scottish Government proposals for the new benefits. We used an on-line survey and workshops to ask single parents about their views on the consultation and to share some of their knowledge and experience to inform our response to the Scottish Government.
