Scottish Government Child Poverty Delivery Plans - Single Parents Views

Last updated: 24/02/2020

No one thing will eradicate poverty, services need to come together and provide families with support to access education, training and employment. Wages need to be higher and benefit rates better to allow families to live a decent quality of life.

- Satwat Rehman, Director of OPFS

To contribute to the Scottish Governments Child Poverty Delivery Plans OPFS undertook a survey on single parent views on the impact of poverty and what they felt government should prioritise. The parents surveyed were from across Scotland and 175 participated. Parents were asked not only about the issues that affect them but what policy responses they would prioritise.
