The Promise

OPFS was commissioned by The Promise to research what happens to family finances when a child enters the care system in Scotland. The report, 'Poverty-proofing for families in or on the edges of care', is based on interviews with practitioners and parents who have come into contact with the care system and contains recommendations for change at local and national government level.

Our Practitioner's guide provides practical information for professionals supporting families whose children are in or returning from care.
