Have your say on the Mobility Component of the Adult Disability Payment
When the Scottish Government gave a commitment to hold an independent review of the new Adult Disability Payment (which replaces the DWP PIP benefit) it also committed to a review of the eligibility criteria for the mobility component, including the “20-metre rule”, before the independent review.
The Scottish Government are now consulting on how they assess the Mobility Component of the new Adult Disability Payment.
Adult Disability Payment is a benefit paid by the Scottish Government to help those with a disability or long-term health condition that affects their daily life.
The mobility component provides support to people who have difficulty moving around or planning and following journeys.
The consultation will gather evidence to feed into a wider review of how they assess the Adult Disability Payment.
One Parent Families Scotland will be doing a response to the consultation and would like to hear from you if you have had experience of applying for this benefit. Fill in the short questionnaire below or click here to open in a new page.
