      Hi
I am an older single mum age 51.
My daughter is 16 and autistic/ Aspergers.
Life is difficult and lonely as sinngle mum, with lack of support for my daughter has caused more isolation.

      Hi

I’m also an older mum. I’m 50 with two boys age 14 & 12. Oldest is autistic and youngest has ADHD. I am also there full-time care. I totally hear you when you say single parent life is hard and lonely. Because I don’t work I have felt very isolated for a long time now. happy to catch 🙂

        Hi.
I am 49, nearly 50 in August and I have a 13yr old daughter who has Aspergers and Sensory Issues. When my daughter eventually goes to bed, I go to my bed too. I’m exhausted. My “me time” is sleep! 🤣

Hi, I too am a 45 year old single mum. My kids are 12 and 10. It’s nice to connect with other single mums. Sometimes it feels like there aren’t many other single mums out there because most of my children’s friends in school have parents who are still together. Nice to meet you all 🙂

I’m 50 with a 6 year old. It’s a good time in life to have a kid I think 🙂 he has changed my life for the better in so many ways and I think I’m a better mum at this age than I would have been in my 20s or even my early 30s.

Apologies about taking so long to reply.
Unsure if this forum is private and concerned giving to much personal information away.
I find every day a battle for support services.
It stresses me so much it makes me feel unwell.
There is still a stigma of autism/ Aspergers and I did not expect family to blame me along with school did,for her anxiety instead do support us.

Hi there! I am 50-something, neurodiverse myself with an 11yr old boy (autistic and ADHD). Personally i love being a single mum but totally agree it is a hard role, with no back up.

Covering your tracks

You may not want other people to know that you’ve been searching for information or help from OPFS.

When browsing the internet whether on a mobile phone, tablet or computer, you leave a ‘history’ trail of pages and sites you’ve visited.

It’s impossible to completely avoid being tracked online but if you’re worried about someone knowing which sites you’ve been looking at, there are some things you can do to help cover your tracks.

If you’re using a laptop or desktop computer, try keeping another document or website open in a new tab or window while browsing. If someone comes in the room and you don’t want them to see what you’re looking at, you can quickly switch to another window or tab.

Deleting browsing history

You can delete the history of websites you’ve visited, but it’s important to know that if you delete your browsing history, someone else using the same device may notice.
